NTAG New England - CDR. Nicole Scherer is a native of Malvern, Pennsylvania. In 2007, she earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in history and received a commission through Naval Reserve Officers Training Corp (NROTC) at Marquette University. Following flight training in Pensacola, Florida, she designated as a naval aviator in 2009. She earned a Master of Arts in Science Writing from Johns Hopkins University in 2016.
