CNRC - A native of Arizona and Puerto Rico, CDR Ernesto Arboleda graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 2005, earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Aeronautical Engineering. He earned his Naval Flight Officer wings in January 2017 and was subsequently designated as an Electronic Warfare Officer (EWO) in the EA-6B with the “Vikings” of Electronic Attack Squadron (VAQ) 129 in February 2008. Arboleda’s first operational assignment was with VAQ-130 “Zappers,” embarked aboard USS Harry S. Truman (CVN 75) supporting operations Operation Iraqi Freedom (OIF) and Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF). His department head tour with VAQ-135 “Black Ravens” included deployments to Misawa Airbase, Japan and Al Udeid Airbase, Qatar in support of operations Operation Inherent Resolve (OIR) and Operation Freedom’s Sentinel (OFS).
