A native of Jacksonville, Florida, Sean commissioned through the NROTC unit at the University of Florida in December 2006.   As a Naval Flight Officer, he selected the P-3 Orion ASW platform and earned his wings of gold in November of 2009 before reporting to the ”Mad Foxes” of VP-5 (PATRON FIVE) in March of 2010.

During his initial operational tour, he logged over 900 hours of flight time through two deployments to 5th, 6th, and 7th Fleet, culminating with the “sundown” deployment of the P-3 and transition to the P-8 Poseidon.  He then enrolled as a full-time student in the Undersea Warfare (USW) curriculum at Naval Postgraduate School in Monterey, CA, where he earned his Masters of Science in Physical Oceanography.

He reported to USS ABRAHAM LINCOLN (CVN-72) in 2016 as a Tactical Action Officer (TAO) during her refueling and complex overhaul (RCOH). Onboard ABE, he ultimately served on the Combat Systems Training Team (CSTT) as a TAO instructor and Assistant Strike Operations Officer.

In 2018, he transitioned to the Navy Reserve as part of USNAVSO/FOURTHFLT before being recalled for Active Duty for Operational Support (ADOS) orders by USNAVSO/FOURTHFLT later that year.  There he served on staff as the Assistant N1 and as a Battle Watch Captain (BWC) while earning his Professional of Human Resources Certification in July 2019 before receiving a Training and Administration of the Reserves (TAR) redesignation into the Human Resources community.  He served as the Operations and Mobilizations Officer at Navy Mobilization and Readiness Command Jacksonville (REDCOM JAX) from July 2020 until June 2022, building the foundation of the adaptive mobilization construct.

He most recently served as Commanding Officer of Navy Reserve Center Cincinnati from September 2022 to June of 2024, leading 240 dedicated active, TAR, and SELRES sailors, ensuring the strategic depth of the Navy Reserve are ready at a moment’s notice.

As of November 2024, he is serving as the Executive Officer of Reserve Talent Acquisition Group Southeast based in Jacksonville, Fl.
