Born and raised in Palm Beach, Florida, Command Master Chief Johnson graduated from Suncoast Community High School in May 2003.  As a high school senior, he enlisted in the United Sates Navy and reported to Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois, where he graduated as an Honor Graduate in September 2003.

 

Command Master Chief Johnson completed Airman Apprentice Training Core Course before reporting to his first duty station, the USS DWIGHT D. EISENHOWER (CVN 69) in Norfolk, Virginia and was a phenomenal Recruiter-in-Charge at Navy Recruiting District Richmond.  His subsequent overseas, sea and shore assignments include: Naval Supply Fleet Logistics Center (FLC) Souda Bay, Greece, as the acting Department Leading Chief Petty Officer for the Logistics Support Center; aboard USS GEORGE H.W. BUSH (CVN 77) as Air/V-4 Below Decks Leading Chief Petty Officer; Senior Enlisted Leader for NAVSUP FLC Det. Mayport, FL, Air/V-4 LCPO; Acting CMC aboard USS AMERICA (LHA 6) where he managed more than two-thousand Sailors and Marines for 7th Fleet’s Forward-Deployed Flagship of Amphibious Squadron ELEVEN; Command Senior Chief of Naval Support Facility Deveselu, Romania; and Command Senior Enlisted Leader for Littoral Training Facility Atlantic.

 

Command Master Chief Johnson is currently serving as the Navy Talent Acquisition Jacksonville Command Master Chief.  He has contributed greatly to the Navy by participating in the FY-16 Advancement Exam Readiness Review (AERR), is a graduate from the Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 224 (Gray Group) in Newport, R.I., and a graduate of the CMC/COB Course, Course # (A570-4500). 

 

His decorations include the Region Southeast Anna Der-Vartanian Leadership Award Nominee, Meritorious Service Medal, five Navy and Marine Corps Commendation medals, three Navy and Marine Corps Achievement medals and multiple unit commendation medals. 

 

Command Master Chief Johnson is married to CMDCM (SW/AW) Keona Johnson, stationed aboard 

USS DELBERT D. BLACK (DDG 119), and they have two children – Keith Jr. (15 yrs. old) and Kiyon (13 yrs. old).
