Command Master Chief - Navy Recruiting Reserve Command

Command Master Chief Sharon Y. Kinloch was born and raised in Georgetown, South Carolina. She enlisted in the Navy at the Ft Jackson Military Entrance Processing Station and completed basic training at Recruit Training Command, in Orlando, FL. She attended Quartermaster Apprentice School in Orlando, FL., and her first duty assignment was with COMFAIRCARIB in Roosevelt Roads, PR.
Master Chief Kinloch completed her initial active duty enlistment and returned in January 1997. In 1997 she was assigned to Navy Reserve Recruiting Command Detachment FOUR in Norfolk, VA as a Navy Reserve Recruiter, receiving accolades as Rookie Recruiter of the Year FY 98 and Enlisted Minority Recruiter of the Year FY99. In the meantime, she converted to Full Time Support and rated as a Navy Counselor Career Recruiting Force. Her following on tours include: Naval Reserve Recruiting Command SE, Decatur GA, where she was award CNRRC National Recruiter in Charge of the Year, Area South East Medium Station of the Year FY 02 and later selected to Chief Petty Officer. In January of 2002, she reported to Naval Reserve Recruiting Command Area Pacific, San Diego and assigned to Encino CA as Zone 5 Supervisor from December 2003 to January 2005 Navy Recruiting District Los Angeles where she was awarded Zone Supervisor of the Year FY07.
In December 2007, Master Chief Kinloch transferred to Naval Recruiting District Raleigh where she was selected Senior Chief Petty Officer. Her assignments were Zone Supervisor, Command Trainer and Assistant Chief Recruiter of the Officer/Enlisted Production. In December 2008 she was awarded Zone of the Year. In March 2012, she transferred to NRD Nashville and was later selected Master Chief Petty Officer. Her assignment was Assistant Chief Recruiter and Chief Recruiter. In November 2014 she transferred to NRD Richmond as the Chief Recruiter. Her team was awarded Region East District of the Year. In August of 2016, Master Chief reported to Navy Recruiting Command as the N3 Chief Recruiter and the Senior Enlister Leader where she was selected for Command Master Chief.
From October 2018 to February 2021, Master Chief Kinloch served as Command Master Chief at Navy Operational Support Center San Antonio where her team received NOSC of the Year for Region Forth Worth. In March 2021until December 2022 she served as Command Master Chief at Navy Region Mid-Atlantic, Reserve Component Command Great Lakes, responsible for 23 Navy Operational Support Centers across eight states. She is currently serving as the Navy Recruiting Reserve Command, Command Master Chief.
