Commander Michael Ferrell, a native of Lake of the Ozarks, Missouri, is a 2009 graduate of the United States Naval Academy.  Additionally, he holds a master’s degree in business administration from Villanova University. 

His sea tours include serving as Main Propulsion Officer aboard USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6); as Navigator and Legal Officer aboard USS New Orleans (LPD 18).  Additional sea tours include serving as Combat Systems Officer aboard USS Jackson (LCS 6); as Operations Officer aboard USS Omaha (LCS 12); and as Executive Officer aboard USS Kansas City (LCS 22).

His shore tours include Joint Detainee Operation Center Watch OIC Guantanamo Bay, Naval Science Instructor at the University of Pennsylvania and Villanova University and as Deputy Director of Future Operations for Expeditionary Strike Group THREE (ESG 3).

He currently serves as the Executive Officer of NTAG Pacific Northwest.
 
His awards include the, Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (three awards), Joint Service Achievement Medal, and various other personal, unit and service awards.
