Command Master Chief (CMDCM) Christopher Lyles enlisted in the Navy on Dec. 12, 1994, and reported for boot camp at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Ill. Upon graduating, he reported to AMH “A” school in Millington, Tenn., followed by H-53 FRAMP school in Norfolk.
 

His sea duty tours consist of Helicopter Combat Support Squadron (HC) 4 in Sigonella, Sicily; Helicopter Mine Counter Measures Squadron (HM) 15 in Corpus Christi, Texas; Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 3 (HS) 3 in Jacksonville, Fla.; Helicopter Anti- Submarine Squadron Light (HSL) 51, and Helicopter Maritime Strike Squadron (HSM) 51 in Atsugi, Japan.
 

His shore duty assignments consist of Recruiting District Dallas; Center for Naval Leadership in Mayport, Fla.; Center for Personal and Professional Development in Mayport, Fla.; and Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (VX) 1 in Pax River, Md.
 

Lyles was selected for the Command Senior Chief program in 2016 and served as the Command Senior Chief of Air Test and Evaluation Squadron (HX) 21; command master chief of Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 2 in Lemoore, Calif.; Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 106 in Virginia Beach, Va.; USS NIMITZ (CVN-68) in Bremerton, Wa.

He is currently the Command Master Chief of Navy Recruiting Command (NRC) Region East in Millington, Tn where he resides with Tara and son Tyler.  His oldest son Dakota is currently assigned to the USS SEAWOLF (SSN-21) in Bangor, Wa as an EMN1.
 

 He is a graduate of the Naval Senior Enlisted Academy, class 186 (Green Group) and the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat class 157. His personal awards include the Meritorious Service Medal (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (six awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards), Good Conduct Medal (nine awards), and various unit awards.
