CAPT Rajashaker “Bob” Reddy enlisted in the Navy in November 1991 and attended boot camp in Orlando, FL. Following graduating at the top of his class at Hospital Corpsman (HM) A-school in Great Lakes, IL, he served at the “President’s Hospital” and the “Flagship of Navy Medicine” at National Naval Medical Center (NNMC) in Bethesda, MD. He was selected for Naval Academy Preparatory School in July 1993 in Newport, RI, and upon graduation he attended the U.S. Naval Academy where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in 1998. He redesignated as a Human Resources Officer in 2002.

He redesignated as a Human Resources Officer in 2002. Operational tours: His initial operational assignment was on USS CUSHING (DD 985) as the Damage Control Assistant. In December 2009 he reported to U.S. Forces, Iraq where he served as the advisor to the Head of the Iraqi Navy on all manpower and personnel issues. He helped craft a comprehensive Iraqi Navy manpower strategy and laid the groundwork for a smooth transition of Iraqi reconstruction from the Department of Defense to the Department of State.


Force Development tours: He served as an officer recruiter, Officer Programs Officer (OPO), and Enlisted Programs Officer (EPO) at Navy Recruiting District (NRD) Minneapolis. At Navy Recruiting Command (NRC) headquarters he worked within NRC N1 as the Director of Military Human Resources. In November 2016, he successfully completed fleet-up command of NRD San Diego.

Force Management and N1 tours: He served as the Executive Officer of Enlisted Staff for Navy Personnel Command (NPC) as well as Deputy Executive Assistant for Commander. On the OPNAV N1 staff, he served as the Manpower Section Head responsible for managing all Navy joint manpower to include combatant commands, OSD, DOD agencies, and NATO. At BUPERS-03 in Millington, TN, he was the Officer Community Manager for both the Human Resources and Permanent Military Professor Officer Communities. At Naval Surface Force U.S. Pacific Fleet, he was Deputy N1 and Force Personnel Officer (N14). He then served as Naval Air Forces U.S. Pacific/Atlantic Fleets Assistant Chief of Staff for Manpower and Personnel (N1).
 

He has a Master of Business Administration with a focus on Manpower Systems Analysis from the U.S. Naval Postgraduate School at Monterey, CA and is a Joint Qualified Officer (JQO). He is also certified as a Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) by the Human Resources Certification Institute. His personal awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal, Navy Achievement Medal, Iraqi Campaign Medal, and various other awards.
