Mr. Jeffery (Jeff) Enger entered the Navy in 1990 and began his recruiting career in 1997. At sea, he served as a Signalman attached to Beachmaster Unit Two aboard USS Austin (LPD-4), USS Ashland (LSD-48), USS Whidbey Island (LSD-41), and USS Wasp (LHD-1). Overseas, he was assigned to ASU Bahrain Security Detachment where he served as Command Investigator.
 
Ashore, he has held progressively senior leadership positions across the recruiting enterprise, including Recruiter, Recruiter in Charge, Zone Supervisor, Senior District Trainer, Assistant Chief Recruiter, Navy Recruiting District Chief Recruiter, Region Chief Recruiter, National Officer Programs Chief Recruiter, and National Enlisted Chief Recruiter. His assignments have spanned Navy Recruiting Districts Seattle, Michigan, Los Angeles, Portland, San Francisco, Philadelphia, New England, Region East, and Navy Recruiting Command. He most recently served as Director of Plans, Policy, and Waivers, where he led enterprise-wide recruiting initiatives, program development, and policy alignment.
 
He completed 30 years of Naval service in 2020 and continues to serve as a Department of the Navy civilian, leveraging his extensive experience to advance recruiting excellence. He is currently assigned as Deputy, N7 (Training and Doctrine), Navy Recruiting Command, where he is responsible for shaping training strategy, doctrine development, and leader development across the national recruiting force.
