Senior Chief Navy Counselor Woolded Isaac is a native of Brooklyn, New York. He graduated from Erasmus Hall High School in June 1999. On August 18, 1999 he reported to Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois as a Seaman Recruit.
He began his career as a Seaman Recruit with Beachmaster Unit 2 in Little Creek, Va. During his tenure, he completed 3 deployments to include Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Iraqi Freedom. He qualified Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist and was advanced to Boatswain’s Mate Second Class. In July of 2003 he reported to NORU.
After completing NORU in September 2003, he reported to NRD New York as a recruiter and was stationed in NRS Downtown Brooklyn. There, he was the Recruiter of the Year in 2006. He transferred in 2007 to VFA-27 in Atsugi, Japan.
While in Japan, he served aboard USS Kitty Hawk and USS George Washington. During this time, he earned his Enlisted Air Warfare Specialist qualification and converted to the Navy Counselor rating. He promoted to first class petty officer. In 2009, he received orders to return to NRD New York.
During his second tour in NRD New York, he was assigned to 4 different stations. During that period, he was selected to chief petty officer. In 2013, he received orders to NRD Saint Louis; he was there for two years before receiving orders to NRD Pittsburgh.
During his time at NRD Pittsburgh, he was a key asset in the Navy Talent Acquisition Group transformation model. He was selected as Division Leading Chief Petty Officer of the Year 3 years in row. He promoted to Senior Chief Petty Officer during this tour.
Following his tour in Pittsburgh, he reported to NRD New York as Command Trainer. Eight months later, he became the DPO for TAOC NYC. Later, he became ACR for NTAG Empire State.
Senior Chief Isaac’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (9), Good Conduct Medal (7), and Various Unit and Campaign awards.
