Amelia Hueter

CDR Amelia Hueter is from Tampa, FL. She graduated with a Bachelor of Science from Fordham University and was commissioned through the Naval Reserve Officer Training Program in 2009. She also holds a master’s degree from Pennsylvania State University in Systems Engineering and a master’s degree from the U.S. Army Command and General Staff College in Operational Studies.
As a division officer she served as the Communication Officer on USS Robert G. Bradley (FFG 49) and as the Auxiliaries Officer on USS Arlington (LPD-24). She then served as a department head on USS McFaul (DDG 74) as the Chief Engineer and as the Combat Systems Officer. During her sea tours she has deployed to the Fifth and Sixth Fleet AORs.
During her shore assignments, she has served as the NROTC Summer Cruise Coordinator at Naval Service Training Command in Pensacola, FL and most recently as the Command Assessment Coordinator and Major Command Course Coordinator at Surface Warfare Schools Command in Newport, RI.
CDR Hueter’s personal decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal, and various other unit and personal awards
