CDR Trimble enlisted in the US Navy in 1986 and attended Boot Camp in San Diego, CA. He served on the USS Reasoner (FF 1063) from 1987 to 1992 rising to the rank of STG1.
In 1993, CDR Trimble joined the Naval Reserves and served in various Navy reserve units. In 2002, CDR Trimble commissioned as a Navy Reserve LDO designator 6125.
While serving as a Navy Reserve LDO, CDR Trimble served as the Reserve OIC for USS Frank Cable AS-40 DET B, Reserve Commanding Officer of NR NSF Whidbey Island and NR NSF Bremerton.
In 2001, CDR Trimble completed a mobilization to Naval Station Kitsap’s Security Dept. and in 2010 completed a mobilization to Manila, Philippines as the OIC of the SOCPAC detachment.
In 2011, CDR Trimble reported to NRD Portland and served as an Officer Recruiter and Operations Officer. In 2014, CDR Trimble redesignated to FTS HR designator 1207 and reported to NOSC Jacksonville as the N1. From May 2018 to Aug 2020, CDR Trimble commanded NOSC Billings, MT. Prior to taking command of NOSC Knoxville, CDR Trimble served as the N1 for Navy Region Southeast Reserve Component Command, Jacksonville.
CDR Trimble assumed his duties as Commanding Officer of Navy Talent Acquisition Group Jacksonville in February 2023.
CDR Trimble graduated with a Bachelor of Science Degree from Washington State University, MBA Degree from City University, JPME Phase 1 through the Naval War College and AJPME through the Joint Forces Staff College. CDR Trimble holds the Professional in Human Resource (PHR) certification.
CDR Trimble’s personal decorations include a Meritorious Service Medal (two awards), Joint Service Commendation, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals (four awards) and Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards).
