ABHCS(AW/SW) Santiago R. Aguayo is a native of Quito, Ecuador and raised in Queens, NY and North Bergen, NJ. He graduated North Bergen High School in May 1999 and enlisted in the United States Navy in September 1999. He attended Recruit Training Command at Great Lakes, IL with immediate follow on orders to Airman Apprenticeship Training school in Pensacola, FL.
His duty assignments consist of USS John F. Kennedy (CV 67), FL; Naval Air Station Sigonella, IT; USS Enterprise (CVN 65), VA; Naval Air Technical Training Center Pensacola, FL; USS Bonhomme Richard (LHD 6), JP/CA, and Navy Talent Acquisition Group Houston, TX. Senior Chief Aguayo is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 263 (Gray Group). He is qualified as Enlisted Air Warfare Specialist, Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist, and Master Training Specialist.
He assumed the duties as the Command Senior Enlisted Leader of Navy Talent Acquisition Group Houston in August 2023. He currently resides in the Katy, TX area with his wife Flory and two daughters Stephanie Gabriela and Amy Camila.
His personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (two awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (five awards), Good Conduct Medal (seven awards), Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and various unit and campaign awards.
