Senior Chief Justing Leetham was born in Saint Louis, Missouri and raised in Greenville, IL. In May 2000, he graduated from Greenville High School and in August enlisted in the U.S. Navy. Upon completion of basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, he reported to Aviation Electrician’s Mate “A” School, Pensacola, Florida.
His first duty assignment was to AIMD Whidbey Island at NAS Whidbey Island from June 2001 to July 2003, where he was promoted to Third Class Petty Officer.
His follow-on assignments include Patrol Squadron Forty-Six at NAS Whidbey Island from July 2003 to June 2007 where he completed two deployments to Southeast Asia, one deployment to 5th Fleet, was promoted to Second Class Petty Officer, earned his Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist and was selected as the Junior Sailor of the Year. He reported to Enlisted Recruiting Orientation Unit (ENRO) Pensacola, Florida graduating in August 2007 and then to Navy Recruiting District (NRD) St. Louis from September 2007 to September 2011 where he was assigned as a recruiter and Recruiter-in-Charge (RinC), was promoted to First Class Petty Officer through the Recruiting Command Advancement Program (RCAP) and converted to Navy Counselor (Recruiter). NRD Raleigh from November 2011 to September 2014 where he was assigned as a RinC and selected for Chief Petty Officer in 2013.
From September 2014 to September 2017 he was assigned to NRD Phoenix as the Division Leading Chief Petty Officer (DLCPO) for the Albuquerque, New Mexico division and earned his DLCPO qualification. In November 2017, he reported to NRD Seattle as the DLCPO of the metro Seattle division, in February 2018 he assumed responsibilities of the neighboring division as well. In January, 2019 he was assigned as the Director of Onboarding for Talent Acquisition and Onboarding Center Seattle and in August 2019 was assigned as the DPO of TAOC Seattle. In December 2019, he reported as the Assistant Chief Recruiter at NRD Raleigh, later NTAG Carolina until June 2022. In July 2022, he report to NTAG Rocky Mountain as the Assistant Chief Recruiter. He is currently the Chief Recruiter at NTAG Portland.
Senior Chief Leetham is a graduate of the Career Recruiting Force Academy.
Senior Chief Leetham’s decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (four awards), the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (six awards), the Navy Good Conduct Medal (seven awards) and numerous unit, campaign and service awards.
Senior Chief Leetham is married to Blythe Anne Leetham. They have two sons, Jeremiah and Rory and one daughter, Harper.
