Senior Chief Dayna Watson is a native of Bakersfield, California.  She enlisted in the Navy in October 2007 as a Yeoman. After completing Yeoman “A” school in Meridian, Mississippi, she reported to Carrier Air Wing Seven from 2008-2011, earning her Enlisted Air Warfare Specialist pin in 2010 while attached to Strike Fighter Squadron (VFA) 83.

Her next assignment from 2011-2014 was with Navy Munitions Command Pacific at Naval Weapons Station Seal Beach, California. After, she had tours aboard the USS Anchorage (LPD 23) where she earned her Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist and USS America (LHA 6) from 2014-2017.
She returned to Navy Munitions Command Pacific, CONUS West Division from 2017-22 and then transferred to Fleet Logistics Multi-Mission Squadron 30 (VRM-30) Forward Deployed Naval Service, based at Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni.

Watson is currently the acting Command Senior Enlisted Leader and is the Administration Officer at Navy Talent Acquisition Group Portland.

She has been awarded four Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals, four Navy and Marine Corps, and other command and personal achievements.
