Master Chief James Beadle hails from Bridgeport, Connecticut, and entered the Navy in January 1996 at Recruit Training Command in Great Lakes, Illinois. He attended Aviation Support Equipment “A” School in Millington, Tennessee, and several “C” Schools in Jacksonville, Florida, and San Diego, California, before reporting to his first ship.
Beadle’s sea duty assignments include USS Kearsarge (LHD 3), Fleet Composite Squadron (VC 6), and USS Iwo Jima (LHD 7). He made multiple deployments to the Persian Gulf, Mediterranean Sea, Black Sea and operations and port visits in both the Northern and Southern Hemispheres, as well as hurricane relief efforts in the U.S. Virgin Islands and Puerto Rico, following Hurricanes Irma and Marie.
Ashore, he served at the “Southern Most” Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Detachment, Naval Air Facility Key West, Florida; Aircraft Intermediate Maintenance Detachment, Misawa, Japan; and Assault Craft Unit (ACU) 4, Little Creek, Virginia. His previous Command Master Chief tours include; Beachmaster Unit TWO, Fleet Readiness Center Mid-Atlantic, USS Mesa Verde (LPD 19), and Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
Beadle is a graduate of the Senior Enlisted Academy, Command Master Chief Course, Navy Senior Leader Seminar, and Keystone. Additionally, he has earned his Enlisted Aviation Warfare Specialist and Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist designations. His decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal (2 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4 awards), Navy Good Conduct Medal (8 awards) and various unit, campaign, and service awards.
