Master Chief Van-Troi SibiliaMartinez enlisted in the United States Navy in August of 1999 as a Hospital Corpsman.

At sea, he served with Weapons Company, 1st Battalion 2nd Marines, II Marine Division; Combined Joint Special Forces Forward Surgical Team, Afghanistan; Chemical Biological Incident Response Force; USS TULSA (LCS 16); and USS MUSTIN (DDG89).

His shore tours include India Company, Marine Corps Officer Candidate School; Naval Medical Research Center; Recruit Training Command; Naval Branch Health Clinic Dahlgren; Navy Talent Acquisition Group Empire State; and CMC of RTC.

He was the Honor Graduate from the Navy Senior Enlisted Academy, Class 167 (Khaki) in 2012, and completed the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat course in 2016. He received the League of United Latin American Citizens (LULAC) Leadership Award in 2008, and the “Doc Eagles” award in 2005. His educational achievements include a Master of Arts in Homeland Security-Capstone Option, Bachelors in Homeland Security, and Associate Degree in Health Science Technology. CMDCM SibiliaMartinez has been awarded the Bronze Star Medal with Valor, Meritorious Service Medal (second award), the Navy-Marine Corps Commendation Medal (sixth award), the Army Commendation Medal, the Navy-Marine Corps Achievement Medal (second award), the Combat Action Ribbon, the Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal, and various other unit and campaign awards. He is also a proud plank owner of USS TULSA (LCS 16)
