Command Master Chief - NTAG Ohio River Valley

CMDCM Scott C. Johnson enlisted in the United States Navy March 1994. He completed boot camp at Recruit Training Command, Naval Station Great Lakes, IL and attended follow on training at sonar technician (Surface) “A” school in San Diego, CA. Upon completion of “A” School, he reported onboard USS Ford (FFG 54).

 

He converted to Master-at-Arms in October 2000 and completed tours including: Naval Oceanographic Processing Facility Whidbey Island Security Detachment; Naval Station Roosevelt Roads, Puerto Rico; Naval Station Newport, RI; Naval Security Force Bahrain; Navy Cargo Handling Battalion One; Naval Air Station Patuxent River, MD; U.S. Navy Support Facility Diego Garcia; and USS Somerset (LPD 25).

 

He was selected for the command senior chief program in February 2016 and reported to Military Entrance Processing Station Pittsburgh, PA in May 2018.

 

He is a graduate of the U.S. Navy Senior Enlisted Academy and the Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course.  He holds an Associate’s of Science degree from Coastline Community College.

 

Master Chief Johnson’s qualifications include Enlisted Surface Warfare Specialist and Expeditionary Warfare Specialist.  His personal awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, Navy Commendation Medal (five awards), Navy Achievement Medal (two awards), Antarctica Service Medal, and the Military Outstanding Volunteer Service Medal.

 

CMDCM Johnson assumed duties as the Command Master Chief of Navy Talent Acquisition Group Ohio River Valley in August 2019.
