Commander Stephanie M. Simoni is a native of Stewartstown, PA. She is a 2003 graduate of Pennsylvania State University, earning a Bachelor of Science in biology and receiving her commission through the Naval reserve officer training corps.
At sea, her operational assignments include administrative officer, electrical officer, and navigator in USS Gettysburg (CG 64), flag aide to Commander, Carrier Strike Group SEVEN embarked in USS Ronald Reagan (CVN 76), operations officer in USS O’Kane (DDG 77), and N3 operations officer in Destroyer Squadron NINE.

Ashore, she was assigned to U.S. Third Fleet N3 Operations Directorate as a fleet watch officer and most recently as the N5/N7 Plans, Policy, Training, and Readiness Directorate operational planner and Exercise Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) schedule of events coordinator. 
Cmdr. Simoni received a Master of International Public Policy from the Johns Hopkins University School of Advanced International Studies (SAIS) and a Master of Arts in defense and strategic studies from the U.S. Naval War College. She is also a graduate of the Maritime Advanced Warfighting School (MAWS).

In November 2020, Simoni assumed duties as executive officer of Navy Talent Acquisition Group San Antonio.
Her personal decorations include the Meritorious Service Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal, Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal and various unit and campaign awards.
