Course Objectives
As a result of participating in the Chief Recruiter Course, the participant will have a broader recruiting strategy perspective with specific emphasis placed on making the transition from a field production supervisor to a district, region and national level leader with leadership focus on the five Navy Leadership Competencies of an Advanced Leader.

Course Description

This 10-day course provides senior enlisted (E-8) Career Recruiting Force (CRF) personnel with the skills and knowledge to perform duties as the Chief Recruiter. The course consists of modules in which students learn, develop, and demonstrate competence in the area of enlisted and officer, active and reserve recruiting.

Once assigned a billet for the course (via the Recruiting Region) the student is to contact the course manager to obtain pre-work. The student will be required to prepare a teach back presentation in lesson plan format to the class. This course helps prepare senior CRF personnel for assignment as a Chief Recruiter.

Specific emphasis is placed on making the transition from a field production supervisor to a district, region and national level leader with a broader recruiting strategy perspective. Leadership will focus on the five Navy Leadership Competencies of an Advanced Leader. This course of instruction helps to further ensure that NRC meets its mission requirements of “delivering the right kind in the right numbers at the right time at the best cost” by preparing competent and dedicated leaders.
