Enlisted Processing Division Supervisor (EPDS) Course

Audience
Enlisted personnel in pay grades E7-E9. Civilians mid-level manager at the Navy Recruit Processing Station (NRPS).

 

Course Objectives
As a result of participating in this course, the students will have developed competence in the following areas of Enlisted Processing:

- Organizational management
- Administration
- Enlisted programs and ratings
- PRIDE programs
- Basic Enlistment Eligibility Requirements
- Enlistment Waivers
- Program Waivers
- Mental and physical testing
- Enlistment forms and documents
- Delayed Entry Program discharge procedures
- Interpersonal relationships
- Ethics and Legal Policies/Procedures

 

Course Description
This five-day course provides senior enlisted and civilian personnel assigned mid-level civilians and senior enlisted personnel who are assigned to a Navy Recruiting Processing Station with the skills and knowledge to perform the duties as EPDS.

Prerequisites
A minimum of six months on-station is recommended for individuals prior to attending this course.

Reporting
If the class is scheduled to begin on a federal holiday, students are to report Tuesday. Students are to report the first day of class at 0730 central time to the Training and Quality Assurance Department (N7), Bldg. 750, 5722 Integrity Drive, Naval Support Activity (NSA) Mid-South, Millington, Tenn., 38054.

 

If you have a personal laptop, you are encouraged to bring it with you to Millington, as it would be beneficial for homework and studying at your place of lodging.

Uniforms
Navy Service Uniforms/Khakis, or equivalent for civilians is authorized.
