Master Chief Petty Officer Allchin of Cleveland, Ohio entered the United States Navy in 1995, and attended recruit training at RTC Great Lakes, Illinois. In November 1995, he reported to aviation structural mechanic (Structures) “A” School in Millington Tennessee. He graduated AMS “A” school in January 1996. He then reported to Fleet Air Reconnaissance Squadron Four (VQ-4) in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. During his tour at VQ-4, Master Chief Allchin earned his enlisted aviation warfare specialist pin and was advanced to petty officer second class.

In March 2002, Master Chief Allchin reported to Navy Recruiting District Ohio and served as recruiter in charge in several Recruiting Stations in the Cleveland area. While at NRD Ohio, he was meritoriously promoted to petty officer first class through the REIP Program. Master Chief Allchin then was selected for conversion to the Career Recruiting Force (CRF) and in October of 2006, he attended the CRF Academy in Pensacola, Florida. In December 2006, he reported to NRD Miami where he served as recruiter in charge at NRS West Palm Beach. After being selected as station of the year as well as NRD Miami’s sailor of the year, Master Chief Allchin became the zone two supervisor in Ft. Lauderdale Florida. He was selected as zone supervisor of the year in FY 2008 and FY 2009. In September 2008, he was advanced to chief petty officer.


In February 2011, Master Chief Allchin reported to Navy Recruiting Orientation Unit (NORU) in Pensacola, Florida where he served as the senior instructor in the Navy Recruiting Leadership Academy. In January 2012, Master Chief Allchin earned his master training specialist qualification and was selected as Navy Recruiting Orientation Unit’s instructor of the year for 2011. In June of 2012, he was advanced to senior chief petty officer. Following his tour at NORU, Master Chief Allchin graduated from the Senior Enlisted Academy in Newport, RI where he was named to the dean’s list and selected as the honor graduate for Class 177 Brown Group. Master Chief Allchin then reported to Navy Recruiting District New Orleans where he served as officer and enlisted assistant chief recruiter. In November 2016, he returned to NORU and currently serves as the senior enlisted leader and chief recruiter.


Master Chief Allchin’s personal awards include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (5), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (5), Good Conduct Medal (7), National Defense Medal (2), Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, and the Humanitarian Service Medal.
