Master Chief Rincones hails from Harlingen, TX. July 1989, he enlisted into the United States Navy and successfully completed recruit training and seaman apprentice training in San Diego, Calif., before beginning his career as boatswainmate.
     
Serving the majority of his career on naval ships, Rincones’ sea duty assignments have included the USS Goldsborough (DDG 20), supporting Operation Desert Shield; USS Hewitt (DD 966) providing maritime security during Operation Desert Strike; USS Vincennes (CG 49) and USS Ingraham (FFG 61) aiding both Operation Enduring Freedom and Operation Southern Watch; and USS Lake Erie (CG 70), USS Freedom (LCS 1), and USS Fort Worth (LCS 2).
 
Master Chief Rincones’ shore duty assignments have included the Naval Computer and Telecommunications Area Master Station Pacific, and the Center for Naval Leadership, where he earned the master training specialist qualification. Additionally, he served as the officer in charge and coxswain for Commander, U.S. Pacific Fleet’s ceremonial barge and boathouse, home-based in Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam, HI.

 

Prior to assuming his role as Navy Recruiting District Houston’s current command master chief, Rincones served as the senior enlisted leader of Littoral Combat Crew 102 where he was promoted to master chief petty officer.

 

Master Chief Rincones’ successfully graduated from the United States Navy Senior Enlisted Academy and the CMC/COB leadership course. He earned an Associate’s Degree in supervisory leadership from Hawaii Pacific University. His awards including the Meritorious Service Medal, three Navy Commendation Medals, six Navy Achievement Medals, the Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, National Defense Medal, Global War on Terrorism Medal, and numerous campaign and unit awards.
