Commander Hall, originally from Milpitas, CA, received his commission from the US Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD. Following flight training in Corpus Christi, TX and Kingsville, TX, he was assigned to VFA-125 at NAS Lemoore, CA for training in the F/A-18C Hornet.
 
After completing flight training, Cmdr. Hall was assigned to the VFA-151 Vigilantes based out of NAS Lemoore. He served in multiple jobs including the aviation/armaments division officer for the squadron’s deployment onboard the USS Constellation (CV 64) in 2002-2003. During this cruise he flew 28 missions in support of operations IRAQI FREEDOM and SOUTHERN WATCH.
 
He was next assigned to VX-9 at NAWS China Lake, CA where he served as the operational test director for the AIM-120 AMRAAM missile. Following this tour he completed a master’s degree from the US Naval War College in Newport, RI.
 
After his studies in Newport he returned to NAS Lemoore, CA for another tour with VFA-151 as a department head. He cruised with VFA-151 onboard the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) in 2010-2011 as the operations officer and later as the maintenance officer. On this deployment he flew 25 missions in support of operations ENDURING FREEDOM and NEW DAWN.
 
Following his department head tour, he was assigned to the joint staff, Joint Deployable Analysis Team at Eglin AFB, FL where he served as a project officer for the joint operational test assessment of the Mark XIIA Mode 5 Identification Friend or Foe system and as the operations branch chief. He left this tour to return to the USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72) for a brief assignment as the ship’s training officer while it underwent a reactor refueling complex overhaul at the Newport News shipyard in Virginia.
 
Hall’s awards include the Defense Meritorious Service Medal, an individual Air Medal with bronze “V” (combat distinguishing device), 3 strike-flight Air Medals, a Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal with bronze “V” (combat distinguishing device), and other various personal, unit, and service awards.
