Navy Recruiting District Michigan is one of thirteen Navy Recruiting Districts which make up Navy Recruiting Region East.

The primary mission for the District is to serve in a support role to the United States Navy's mission of conducting sustained combat operations at sea. By selectively identifying and recruiting quality individuals for service to our nation, we achieve this mission and contribute to our national security. We recruit men and women for enlisted, and officer status in the regular Navy and the Naval Reserve. We at Navy Recruiting District, Michigan are manning the fleet, one sailor at a time.

The District Headquarters is located in downtown Detroit, Michigan. The entire District encompasses state of Michigan along with most of the state of Indiana and is divided into 11 geographic Teams. In all, the District contains 55 Recruiting Stations and 32 Satellite Offices. The District is staffed with over 200 active duty members of the Navy and civilians.
