Master Chief Jason Richardson, a native of Sturgis, Michigan, enlisted in the U.S. Navy in Oct. 1999 and attended boot camp at Recruit Training Command Great Lakes, Illinois. He transferred to Naval Training Center Great Lakes, Illinois, to complete his Advance Electronics Technical Core and Fire Controlman “A” courses.

 

Upon graduation, he reported for “C” school at MK92 Gun Fire Control System, San Diego, California. His fleet assignments include USS Carr (FFG 52), USS Underwood (FFG 36), Detroit Blue (LCS 7), and Cooperstown Blue (LCS 23).

 

In addition, Richardson held shore assignments at SWOS Newport, Rhode Island as lead Frigate instructor and NETC Learning Site Kings Bay, Georgia, as the site lead and instructor.

 

Richardson serves as the Navy Talent Acquisition Group New England Command Master Chief. Additionally, Richardson is a Senior Enlisted Academy Class 194 (Blue Group) graduate and CMC/COB Class 20120/217. He has earned his Enlisted Surface Warfare and Master Training Specialist designations.

 

His decorations include the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal (3 awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal (4 awards), and other various unit and campaign awards.
