CDR Martelley Graham is a native of Denmark, South Carolina. He enlisted in the Navy in 2000 as a Gas Turbine Systems Technician (Electrical). He served onboard USS JOHN YOUNG (DD 973) and USS THE SULLIVANS (DDG 68) until he was selected for the Seaman-to-Admiral program in 2004. Upon completing the Broadened Opportunity for Officer Selection and Training (BOOST) Program, he attended The University of Memphis and was commissioned in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.

Commander Martelley Graham is a native of Denmark, South Carolina. He enlisted in the Navy in 2000 as a Gas Turbine Systems Technician (Electrical). He served onboard USS JOHN YOUNG (DD 973) and USS THE SULLIVANS (DDG 68) until he was selected for the Seaman-to-Admiral program in 2004. Upon completing the Broadened Opportunity for Officer Selection and Training (BOOST) Program, he attended The University of Memphis and was commissioned in 2008 with a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering Technology.

His first division officer tour was aboard USS TAYLOR (FFG 50) as Force Protection Officer, Fire Control Officer and Electrical Division Officer. He then reported to USS JOHN L HALL (FFG 32) where he served as Damage Control Officer.
 

After completion of his two division officer tours, CDR Graham reported to Commander, Naval Safety Center in Norfolk, VA. He became a Surface Safety System Analyst and Safety Investigation Board Advisor.

After departing the Safety Center, CDR Graham was stashed at SWOS Newport in the N74 Material Readiness Training Department where he taught the Auxiliary Officer/Electrical Officer Pilot Course prior to starting the Department Head pipeline. He reported to LCS Crew 103 embarked onboard USS DETROIT (LCS 7) as the Combat Systems Officer and fleeted-up as the Operations Officer when the crew permanently embarked onboard USS FORT WORTH (LCS 3).
 

After completion of his two department head tours, CDR Graham reported to Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet in Coronado, CA. He served as the Current Operations Officer in the Maritime Operations Directorate. He then reported to Commander, Naval Personnel Command where he serves as a Surface CDR Detailer for last names (A-F), and Executive Officer Afloat/Afloat*/Special Mission Detailer. While at PERS, he completed his Masters of Arts in Management from American Military University and his Joint Professional Military Education I.
 

CDR Graham’s awards include (3) Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medals and (7) Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals.
 

Martelley is married to Nagenia Graham, from Denmark, SC. They have two children, Micah (11) and Greyson (5).
