Special Information for Female Recruits

Because storage space is extremely limited at Recruit Training Command, recruits should limit the amount of personal effects brought with them. Luggage must be kept to a maximum of one small gym/travel bag.

In addition to clothing worn on the trip, female recruits may bring:

____sanitary items as required
____money (maximum of $25 optional)
____one pair of prescription glasses, reading glasses
____completed Direct Deposit Sign-Up Standard Form 1198A
____check book and ATM card
____book of stamps
____phone card
____small address book w/important numbers and addresses

 
 
 

Additional items to bring, if applicable:

____marriage certificate
____copies of dependent's birth certificates (e.g., children, spouse, etc.)
____divorce decree of both husband and wife
____birth control pills, if prescribed
____small Bible or other religious book
____basic make-up is allowed; however, due to time constraints and a lack of personal storage space, recruits are not permitted to wear make-up until picture day and liberty weekend. No glass items, including mirrors, are permitted ____current record of inoculations (shots)
